Losing your marbles?

I've been hearing a lot about "nail marbling" lately and thought I'd give it a try.
With a little more practice I'm sure they would come out a little better...

Just thought I'd share with my lovelies!
Off I go to enjoy this beautiful weather
:)

All lashed out and nowhere to go

Mirror mirror on the wall, which mascara gives me the greatest lashes of all?!
(I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself! Ha ha)

I'm blessed to have inherited reasonably long lashes from my father but my eyes feel naked without a little mascara on them! I've tried brand after brand but have always come back to Maybelline Great Lash, that's about to change!!

Heres a few different brands I have in my drawer at the moment

From left to right
E.L.F. Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara, Maybelline- The Colossal Volume Express, Maybelline Great Lash in Clear and Blackest Black & blinc.

(This is what I have in my drawer but doesn't even begin to make a dent into how many different brands that I've tried! Ha ha)

The E.L.F mascara is on my list of worst products ever!! Ha ha. Really, it is thee worst mascara I have ever tried in my life! I only put it on one eye and couldn't take it off fast enough ha ha.

Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara (also a freebie when I bought a kit at Clinique) is a great mascara. I love the way it makes my lashes look but I don't love how it looks when it leaks off my lashes onto my skin, yuck.

Maybelline Colossal Mascara, you my friend win the "grossest smelling mascara" award! The smell is horrid, while the product isn't so bad itself, I can't stand the smell!

Maybelline Great Lash was the first mascara I had ever tried and the only one that I always seem to go back too. I remember my mother using it throughout my childhood so when she finally let me purchase makeup (only mascara and a blush, ha ha) it was the only choice in my head! I do think it's a good mascara, I love the natural look it give my lashes. For summer, it just doesn't hold up as well as I would like it too.

As for "blinc" read below :p

This months Birchbox may have not been my favorite but inside I found a new little treasure,
blinc mascara! Love love love this little guy!

Here's What It Claims To Do:

This game-changing mascara encases your lashes in a thin tube of water-resistant formula that won't smudge, smear, or run.

Does It Live Up To It's Claim?

In one word, yes!
Do you ever notice someone says a certain problem they have and you say "oh, really? I've never had that problem", that a week later you're experiencing the same problem(s) as them?!

My sister has always had an issue with her mascara leaking under her eyes, leaving her looking like a raccoon and I haven't ever met a cute raccoon...have you?! Ha ha. Now that the back story is out of the way, I've been having the same problem everyday for the past three months!!!

This tiny, compact mascara does exactly what it promises to do. It doesn't look clumpy, melt off my face in the hot weather or smear all over my face when I rub my eyes. It also leaves your lashes looking long and full, what more could a gal ask?!

Will I Repurchase?

Ugh, I guess this is the part where I have to list the one negative part of this mascara...the price! blinc mascara will run you $24.00 for 0.21 oz. I'm too "cheap" to spend $24.00 every two-three months. Ha ha.

Here's to hoping I'll get another sample of this, find a dupe or find a twenty dollar bill on the ground while walking into an Ulta? Ha ha!

If you lovely ladies know of any dupes, tips or are willing to share your favorite brands I would love to hear about them!

Thanks so much for reading, take care :)

Color me cupcake!

Firstly, I'm sorry for showing you my toes!! Ha ha
Nails aren't my speciality (as you can see below) but I thought I'd share the frosting and cherries I have on my toes and middle fingers.

Have a blessed evening!!

MUFE Aqua Cream

I was going out with family and friends the other night and was looking for an eye shadow that would last throughout the night. I orginally planned on going to Sephora and picking up a 24/7 Glide-On Shadow Pencil. After researching the UD pencils, I came across MUFE's Aqua Creams and headed to Sephora!

I was torn at first with which one I should choose but after finding out that the MUFE Aqua Cream was only two dollars more than the UD pencil and had double the amount of product it was a no brainer!

What Is It?

"An ultra-pigmented, long-lasting waterproof cream."

I picked up shade 15, which is a pretty copper color.

Size: 0.21 oz

What it does:
"Aqua Cream combines the highest-quality pigments with mother of pearl particles to give immediate rich color payoff with a luminous finish in just one application. It's long-lasting formulation will not crease or smudge under the most extreme conditions and its creamy and elastic texture allows for easy blending."

My Thoughts
I love love love it!!

I've been wearing it everyday since I purchased it and can't say enough great things about it. I will say that I noticed a little creasing when I skipped my eye primer (creasing, yuck!) Other than that, I love it! The staying power is really great, the woman at Sephora told me that I would need to buy MUFE's makeup remover but my removers and face wash took it off just fine.

If you're looking for a pretty, cream shadow or something that will last through a night of dancing I recommend this product! It comes so many beautiful colors, I'd buy them all if they weren't so pricey!

I'd love to hear your tips and product suggestions for long lasting makeup!!

August Birchbox

It's that time again, Birchbox time!!
I'll be honest, when I saw others Birchboxes I wasn't really thrilled with any of the products. I know a lot of people cancelled their subscription after receiving this months box as well.

Anyway, here we go!
After viewing a few boxes I hoped that I would get the box with the blinc mascara and Befine mask and night cream. I just thought that I would get the most use out of those products and lucky me, that was the box I got.

What's inside my Birchbox?

Befine- Night Cream
Upgrade your nighttime routine with this lush cream-cocoa spurs circulation, while rice bran keeps skin supple and healthy+Exfoliating Cleanser
Blinc- Mascara
This game-changing mascara encases your lashes in a thin tube of water-resistant formula that won't smudge, smear, or run.
Kate Spade New York- Twirl
This flirty scent is a fresh update on the classic fruity floral.
Liftlab-Lift & Fix
An anti-aging serum with a PhD-LiftLab's molecular biologists spent years perfecting a patented natural protein that strengthens and regenerates cells.
Extra-Twistband
This soft elastic gives the hair tie a sophisticated makeover- it looks as good on your wrist as it does on your hair.

What do I think about the products?

I just walked in the door from work and haven't been able to try any of the products listed other than the Kate Spade scent, which is WAY to strong of a scent if you ask for me! I tend to like very watered-down scents. I like soft vanilla's or light fruity scents, sorry Kate Spade, you're just a little too intense for me!

Tonight I plan on trying the Befine cleanser and the LiftLab serum. I'll be sure to update and share my feelings about all of the products listed.

Oh, as for the twistband...yuck. I wouldn't wear it on my wrist or in my hair! Ha ha. The big knot and long "tail" isn't attractive at all!! I love my goodie hair ties from Target, I don't use anything else!

Final Thoughts

I'm not super pleased or excited about this months box but I'm not giving up on Birchbox just yet! Hopefully next month has less skin care and more makeup!

I'd love to see and hear what you guys got in your Birchboxes! If you have any questions, please ask! Take care :)

Dinair Airbrush Kit Pt. 2

As promised I'm back with more information (and some photos, ek!) on the Dinair system. I've been using it for a week now and I'm still enjoying every second of it!

I purchased the system with the intent to use it for special occasions and "date nights" but once I started using it I feel in love with the coverage and staying power that I've been wearing it everyday!

Opening Of The Products

Compressor and wall unit cable

I picked the compressor in the color "White Pearl"

All the goodies that come in the kit
(Makeup Colors, Shimmer, Blush, Face Tanner, Instructions, DVD, Coupon, Airbrush, etc.)

The Airbrush!

(Face Tanner, Moist And Dewy, Practice Makeup and the Dinair Cleaner)

Before

After

Final Thoughts

Maybe it's because of my Canon camera but my skin doesn't look flattering at all in the first photo! Ha ha. Firstly I'd like to say that I do leave my house without makeup and that I still feel confident and beautiful. God made all of us with different skin, hair and body types and we're all beautiful now matter how we feel about ourselves on our "off days"!

Back to the makeup! Ha ha. My color match is four drops of alabaster mixed with two drops of golden beige. Alabaster is pink toned, which fits my skin type perfectly! I used nothing other than dinair products on my skin for the end result. I look the photos after my first time using them (hence the over spray on my lips and everywhere else! Ha ha). The first application took me over twenty minutes, now I do it in under four minutes and I love the outcome.

Would You Recommend Dinair?

Yes, I would completely recommend Dinair to friends and family and to all of my lovely subscribers! I've stated this before but I'll say it again, this system was an investment for me. I went back and forth with the idea of buying this product because of it's cost. I buy a lot of products each month that don't work for my skin or break me, to have something I love and know works is amazing. What I would have spent on dead end products I know ended up saving on using my Dinair. I love it and couldn't recommend it anymore if they paid me!!
(I'm not being paid nor was this system given to me, just incase I didn't state that already! Ha ha)

If you have any questions at all, please ask me and I will be more than happy to answer them. Whether it's about this product or any other!

Thanks so much for reading!! Take care :)

Nude Nails

I wanted to use the nail polish that Birchbox had sent me to replace the ybf eyebrow pencil I received that was broken. I know I've said it before but Birchbox has the best costumer service I've ever seen experienced!

I'm wearing ZOZA polish in "Pandora"

It's a glossy pink toned nude, I applied two coats and it's still a tad sheer. I put on a top coat of Sally Hansen "Mega Shine" (though I didn't notice it add anymore shine) and they chipped within two days.

All and all I do like the color and maybe if I purchase a better top coat it would last longer? I've been hearing great things about Seche Vite, perhaps I'll give a try!

If you have any tips or recommendations on polishes and topcoats I'd love to hear them! Thanks for reading :)

Dinair Airbrush System

Dinair Airbrush Review Pt. 1

I've been researching airbrush makeup for the past month and finally broke down and purchased a kit for myself. If you're interested in airbrush makeup I strongly suggest that you research all the different companies until you find one that fits your needs best. The popular brands that you hear about most are Temptu, Dinair, Luminous Air and so forth. Temptu was not an option, it didn't offer enough for the price, though I know many people own it and love it.

I was looking for something that would be matte, long lasting and to help cover up the scaring I have on my cheeks. I was willing to invest in purchasing a system if I could find one that I believed best suited my needs. Like most, I've spent endless amounts of income on makeup, acne treatments, etc. The idea of "flawless" skin is an incredible thought, is it not?!

I purchased the Foundation Deluxe Kit for $199 and after tax my total came to $209.51
It's a investment, definitely.

"Enough Rambling, do you love your Dinair or not?!"

Ordering Process

The web site is very easy to follow, well organized and informative. I've heard so many great things about there costumer service but I'll get to that later. They offer a free "Color match" so you're able to achieve a perfect match, no matter your skin tone. All you have to do is E-mail them a photo or yourself and they'll E-mail back what they believe will suit your skin tone best! I chose to just buy the kit in "Light" and passed on the color match. I know I glow in the dark already, I didn't need anyone to tell me!! Ha ha

There are fourteen different color compressors that you are able to choose from and then a variety of shades and accessories. The kits comes with the compressor, a brush (the gun and a hose), accessories (rubber band, caps/plugs, etc), cleaner and the makeup colors of your choice.

Color Options
Foundation Color Options

Every shade comes in three sizes- .25 ounces, .50 ounces, or 1.15 ounces. Pricing varies depending on the formula. They also have a Paramedical line of foundations, which is supposed offer more coverage for scaring, covering tattoos, etc. The Paramedical line is a little more pricey than the Glamour line, they start at $18, $26 and $35.

(My order)

My Thoughts On The Company

I won't lie, I was a little unhappy that the three E-mails I sent went unanswered. I do wish the costumer service was better, it would have made my experience that much better. I ordered my kit on July 17th and received it on July 25th. The box came in the mail and was nicely packaged, everything was sealed so that any unfortunate spills that might occur wouldn't have a chance!

Dinair is first airbrushing system and has been around for years and I felt comfortable purchasing a system from them.

My Thought On The Products

I'll be honest, if you've never airbrushed before (like me), don't expect to be amazing at it right away! I had such high hopes for the system that after trying it for the first time I was crushed and thinking about sending it back. I know, I can be a little dramatic (I've always been an all or nothing kind of gal!).

The Foundation

I remember watching Kandee Johnson on a bridal video I believe saying how she applies it without the airbrush system and just works it into her skin with her fingers. I don't find that it covers or looks good that way, though I do love Kandee Johnson (what works for some, doesn't work for everyone)!

The coverage starts off sheer (as it is small pixels being sprayed on your skin) but it is definitely build able.

Blush

Oh my, the first time I used the blush it wasn't all that pretty!! Ha ha I suggest watching the DVD that they send you in your kit before attempting to use it straight out of the box, it's full of great information and helpful hints!!

I've been using this system everyday for the past four days and so far...I love it!!!! Liquid makeup always seemed to slide off of my face and my powder mineral makeup would get patchy after about 45 minutes. I applied this at 3pm, ran errands, went to the beach for
3 hours and hung out with a friend until 2am and when I came home my makeup still looked great! That's 11 hours of wear (and tear from the beach) and my makeup still looked great, I'm sold! I didn't order any eye shadows, brow shadows, stencils or any of the other neat things they have to offer on their website but now I wish I had!!

Final Thoughts

I'm extremely pleased with my Dinair Airbrushing System and can't wait to try out more products from Dinair!! My skin stays matte (finally), the makeup is weightless (it feels like you're wearing nothing!) and it covers up imperfections like no other!! I can't wait to try the Paramedical line for my scaring, the eye and lip shades and and more. I truly recommend this system for anyone that has oily, acne prone skin and who is looking for great coverage or anyone that is just looking for flawless skin that lasts all day.

In part 2 I'll show pictures of everything I purchased, what I use and before and after photos! I hope this review was helpful and if you have any questions I would be more than happy to do my best to answer them!! Thanks so much for reading :)

Nail Fun!

Sally Hansen Salon Effects

I finally caved into the latest "nail crave" and gave Sally Hansen Salon Effects a shot. I've been hearing and seeing a lot about these creative nail designs just about everywhere lately. I use to get my nails done often when I was younger but as I got older I realized I could do them myself for a fraction of the price!

What Is It?

"Sally Knows nails are the best accessory. Now, Sally makes it easy to get a salon effect anytime, any place. It wears like nail polish because it IS nail polish. No dry time, so you’re ready to go."

First Thoughts

I know that many people have no trouble applying these bad boys but for me, it was a nightmare!!! I had read the instructions numerous times and still managed to flub it up! Ha ha I didn't find them as easy to apply as I had hoped but I refused to give up. A couple of my nails have a "wrinkled effect" due to my applying them improperly.

What Do They Look Like?

I chose the pattern called "Check It Out"

How Long Do They Last?

The web site says that they last ten days but I have only had them on for a little over 5 days and they aren't looking so hot. Than again, not much stays on my nails with all the wear and tear I do to my poor hands! Ha ha

Final Thoughts

I do like how my nails look and with a little bit of practice I'm sure that I could get them to look better (thus liking this product even more). I thought they were stickers until I opened the little packs they came in and they reeked of nail polish! They give you sixteen "stickers" in different sizes for your finger nails. The extra six are in case you mess up (which I did) but I wish they just gave you twenty instead! They cost me nine dollars, I would have had to pay a lot more to get them styled at a salon. All and all, I do like this product and would most likely try them again.

Here is a link to the web site incase you wanted to check them out more
If you have any questions feel free to ask!! :)
